Still in the fun finishing stages. This past week I've been concentrating on
the final details of the bathrooms...towel bars, vanity hardware, mirrors,
toilet tissue holders, etc. What have I bought? Absolutely nothing. I
purchased some beautiful accessories from Gatco.
The outside view is as it will be now, since the power company, cable company and phone company have come and done their thing with the lines leading to the house so the wood monster is finally gone. The only thing left (besides fixing the landscaping and relocating the garbage cans to the garage) is to paint the column in the front and replace the lights (include the pole light in front...thank goodness). I think eventually we'll need to get shutters on the windows on the left side of the house.

Now to the inside. The staircase and columns are done. I'm very pleased with them. The columns need to be finished off at the bottom. The walls will be a light peachy color (see the inside of the downstairs closet for a hint of the color).

Looking up the stairs:

This is the office area. The blue room will be Eric's office, the one I'm standing in will be my office (formerly the girls' rooms). The rooms will be separated by a pocket door which you can see leaning to the right. The panels are glass. Should be a much better place to work than Starbucks.

This is from my office, looking towards the den.

Standing in front of the bathroom, looking up to the 2nd floor:

The floor in the kid's bathroom is done. This is the tub/shower room.

From the top of the stairs, looking towards the master bedroom. Keep in mind that none of these pictures were taken with any artificial lights on. This is all the natural morning light.
