Week 5
November 18-23
Lots of new pictures this week. I have my family in mind when I do these updates and I know they all have broadband, so I apologize to any dial-up visitors.
First, the outside. The outside framing is done! All windows except one are installed (check out the entry window) and the roof shingles are on! I think it will still be a few weeks until the siding goes on.
Most of the major work this week has been inside.
The inside closet viewed last week is now gone. The floor is about ready for the new entry tile and the new hall closet has been framed.
The big news is the 2nd story is now visible from entry way, awaiting the staircase which will be installed next week (::knock on a whole lot of exposed wood::).
I managed to get a picture in before it was covered in plastic. For reference, the front door is on the left, same vantage point as in the picture above except now the camera is pointed up. The door you can see on the 2nd floor is the bathroom, the guest bedroom is on the left (which is the front of the house...the two windows you see to the left of the house)
This is the big empty spot (on the right hand side of the picture) where the staircase will be.
And finally, I promised Emily that I would include this picture in my update so here it is :-)
